The Lakes Of Danbury spans 9 naturalistic and scenic lakes, ranging in size from 20 to 120 acres, all nestled within a secluded and private environment.

    Since its inception in 1985, The Lakes Of Danbury has developed into a fully serviced Sportsman's Paradise, which offers very unique sport fishing and hunting experiences. Our operations offer distinctive and exclusive membership as well as packaged trips which provide a wide variety of superior outdoor recreational options for both family and business entertainment needs. CATCH AND RELEASE

One of the reasons the fishing at The Lakes Of Danbury is so consistently great is our "catch and release" policy. Members and guests must release caught fish for the next angler.

We found out many years ago that bass suffer no ill effects when handled properly. We teach all of our anglers - members and guests - how to properly coddle our fish through a mandatory orientation program. Special instructions are given regarding initial handling, length of time out of the water, hook removal (only single barbless hooks are allowed) and release back into the water.

Our members and guests personally contribute to the success of our operation by participating in the catch and release program. They help protect our investment - and their own..

SPECIAL EVENTS

The Lakes of Danbury puts on special events for members and their families, promotes fishing and fly-fishing seminars, participates in community projects, and appears on regional and national tv programs such as ESPN, TNN, and Bass Masters.

Two Houston fly and tackle outfitters, West Bank Angler's and The Angler's Edge have presented their expertise and professional knowledge to our members; and The Texas Outdoor Writer's Association makes regular visits to our complex to gain exposure to new and updated fish management techniques.

One of our more popular community events is our children's "Drug Free" event where we expose young boys and girls to the joys and sportsmanship of fishing. We like to think we can provide positive direction to our future leaders.

We also take pride in our charitable endeavors. We have hosted programs for Texas Special Olympics, and stage the annual Texas Oilman's Bass Invitational (TOBI) for the Benefit of Texas Children's Hospital. Events like these are fun for all participants, and productive for their respective charities.
