About Us

OPERATIONS

Jim Thompson and his wife, Dot, are the owners and operators of the Lakes of Danbury. Jim started with the Lakes of Danbury as a guide in 1990 and then as Lake Manager since 1995. Effective February 1, 2001, the Thompson's leased the Lakes of Danbury from the original owners, Kenny and Mary Zwahr. Jim and Dot have a vision of returning the Lakes of Danbury back to it's original beginnings...... "The Ultimate in Bass Fishing". In December of 2006, The Thompsons purchased the Lakes of Danbury and will continue to improve and expand the membership club. Jim is an avid bass fisherman and sportsman, and he brings his love of bass fishing to the business. He fished for years in Florida with his largest bass weighing in at 15 lb. 7 oz. This is a family business with Jim onsite from daylight until dark 7 days a week and Dot is in the office Monday through Saturday. Son, Jimmy Jr. assists them when needed. The Thompson Family is extremely proud of their bass fishing club for bass fishermen. It is geared around family and corporate fishing experiences for the rookie or the avid fisherman. If you would like more information, or wish a tour of our facility, just give Jim or Dot a call at 979-922-8610. We are open Wednesday through Sunday.

Fishing at The Lakes Of Danbury is the result of an intense coordination of efforts between our employees, guides, and affiliates. We would like to show you a few members of our management staff so you may begin to appreciate how hard they work for your pleasure.
