Lena & Terry Sandlin caught these nice, healthy bass on two
separate fishing trips.
Hope everyone and your families are doing well. Our cabin is finally getting completed. We still have to furnish it, but should be ready for booking by the 24th or 25th of April. Call Dot for more details. SeaArk Marine is scheduled to deliver two new flatbottom boats on April 4. This is a committed date so hopefully all will go well. We look forward to getting them into operation. Also, I have been talking again to Skeeter Bass boats about getting us a few more new boats. Our present Skeeter Boats have done well for us, but a few new, updated boats would certainly be welcomed.
Since the first of this year, our members have caught 5 bass over 10 pounds with 2 over 11 pounds, and 5 over 9 lbs. We are having a great spring with numbers being really good between fronts.
I have started fertilizing all the lakes except for the 120 and will see what kind of bloom we have this year. We will be adding more forage shortly.
Lately, I have seen lots of floating fish. One reason being that we are catching more fish, and we can expect to have a few floaters. But I have also noticed many unbent barbs and I have been coming down hard on members who do not follow this rule. Also, I have noticed that some members are holding the fish out of the water too long and taking too many pictures without putting the fish back in the lakes. I realize that everyone gets caught up in the excitement of the “catch” but please remember to keep pliers and cameras out and be ready to take pictures. It harms our fish when you have to dig through tackle bags and boxes or go running back to your vehicle. Please do not ever lay your catch on the grass or decks. This destroys the protective coating (slime) that protects our fish from bacteria. We are depending on our members to use proper handling techniques as stated in our rules or we will ruin the Lakes and what we have accomplished.
Dot and I appreciate everyone’s cooperation and good fishing and God bless.

DOT’S DATA
Friends, we just want to thank you guys for all your love and concern for both Jim and I during our recent surgeries. We are both doing great and we appreciate each and every one.
Our cabin is being completed. It has two bedrooms, kitchen, bath and living room. It overlooks “Little Luke Lake” and the 120. It should sleep four comfortably. The rates are $150.00 per night. Please call me for more details.
Also, remember to sign in and out and your guests names on the register. This is the only way we can keep track of who has arrived and departed from the Lakes. Otherwise, you guys have made by job very easy.
I am now working Wednesday through Sunday and the office may be closed on Mondays & Tuesdays so if you will leave a message, we will return your call. Jim is still on site seven days a weeks. If you have any questions, please just call me.
Cabin available in mid April.
